PEEBLES Looking for information on Ingram Blanks Peebles, who came to Williamson Co. from Northampton Co., NC. Not sure of the date of his relocation, but his brother (according to one source) who was Howell Peebles, Jr., and another brother, Samuel, were in Williamson Co. about 1817. Ingram Blanks would have been all of six at that time, so may not have made the trip quite that soon, but he was there by April 23, 1833, when he married Minerva A. Scales. They had six children, including Samuel Pinckney Peebles (my ggrandfather), five of whom were born in Williamson County. The sixth was born in Bastrop Co., Texas. Appreciate any help. PEEBLES - Looking for information on Howell Peebles, of Northampton Co., b. 1765 to Robert Peebles and Lucy Bass in Virginia. He moved with his family to Northampton Co. in about 1768. The other children of Robert and Lucy were: Benjamin, Priscilla and Robert, Jr. Howell was married first to Rebecca B. Fos in Greensville Co., Va. in 1789. He was married a second time in 1808 to Hannah Peters Dancy, also in Greensville Co., Va. The children of Howell and his two wives were: John B., Samuel, Mary Ann, Howell, Jr., Robert, Ingram Blanks (my gggrandfather) and possibly others. My dilemna is that I find no census or other records that show that Ingram Blanks and Howell are father and son. Ingram Blanks was born August 11, 1811 in Northampton Co. and went to Williamson Co., Tenn. before April 23, 1833, when he married Minerva A. Scales of Alabama in Williamson Co. Ingram supposedly went to Williamson Co. with his brothers Samuel and Howell, Jr. There is nothing in the research document that is the source of my of information that tells how old Howell, Jr. was in relation to Ingram Blanks. I suspect that Howell, Jr. was the son of Howell, Sr. and his first wife, and that Ingram Blanks was the son of Howell, Sr. and his second wife. It's just a gut feeling. Howell, Jr. went to Williamson Co. about 1817, when Ingram Blanks was a whopping seven years old. It is not necessarily true that Howell, Sr. was still alive at that time, and Ingram may have gone to Tennessee with Howell, Jr. as a younger brother upon the death of the parents. I simply have nothing to support this or any other clues at this time. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who may recognize any of these names. I have left out some things, undoubtedly, but I fear I have gone on too long as it is. I appreciate any help anyone can give me. Sincerely Fred Peebles
